On 22 May 2012 Mr J.H. Kingma – Master in Agricultural Sciences – will defend his doctoral dissertation ‘Blijvend aantrekkelijk’ (‘Lasting appeal’). Garden-city neighbourhoods of the 1930s. Mr Kingma conducted his research at TU Delft’s Faculty of Architecture. Prof. V.J. Meyer and Prof. P. Schnabel (University of Utrecht) supervised the research.

Conference: Separation of residence and care

On 12 June 2012 the OTB and the Faculty of Architecture are organising the conference ‘Scheiden van wonen en zorg in een vergrijzende samenleving’ (The separation of residence and care in an ageing society). The conference will examine the growing need felt among senior citizens to continue living in familiar surroundings and the implications this has for their living environment.
