Inauguration of ir. C.M. de Hoog
Maurits de Hoog – a city planner and senior adviser at the Spatial Planning Department of the Amsterdam municipal authority – was appointed by the Executive Board on 8 January 2008 to the chair of Metropolitan and Regional Design. On 18 March, to mark his appointment, he will give an inaugural lecture entitled: ‘Atlas ABC’.
The Rector Magnificus of TU Delft, Prof. J.T. Fokkema, hereby invites you to attend this academic ceremony. Following the lecture, there will be an opportunity to congratulate the appointee.
Maurits de Hoog graduated from TU Delft in 1981 and worked for several urban-planning bureaus. Since 1996 he has worked for the Spatial Planning Department of the Amsterdam municipal authority, where, among other things, he has been the author of several visions for the development of the areas surrounding the river IJ. He has also been involved in the planning for the Zuidplaspolders, and is an adviser to the quality team for ‘Room for the River’.
