location: Faculteit Bouwkunde
by M&C

On the 26th and 27th of June 2010, the ‘Dag van de Architectuur’ (Day of Architecture) will be organised in the Netherlands.

On Saturday 26 June, the Faculty of Architecture is to organize an Open House: guided tours around the new faculty building BK City will be available. Soon, you will find more information on the exact program on this webpage.

Architecture and recycling

The theme of the ‘Day of Architecture 2010’ is Architecture and Recycling. So make sure you visit BK City: a perfect example of recycling in Architecture. After the fire destroyed the old faculty building, Architecture moved to another building, the former main TU Delft building. Since, the building has been fully modernised and now meets all modern day building criteria for educational buildings.

Day of Architecture

The Day of Architecture is an annual event where public and restricted buildings open their doors to the public. The event is meant to bring architecture to as many people as possible. The event was conceptualised in the Netherlands – in 1985 the first Day of Architecture was held – and was soon introduced in countries all around the world.
