DI Alexander Wandl

Researcher

Alexander Wandl is a PhD candidate at the chair of Spatial Planning and Research at the department of Urbanism. He started his doctoral research in October 2010 under the supervision of prof. Vincent Nadin, prof. Wil Zonneveld and dr. Remon Rooij. His research projects concentrates on planning in territories-in-between. Which he defines as areas which blend urban and rural features but cannot be explained by the intensification of urban uses in the rural.
He also holds a position as guest lecturer at the department of urbanism and teaches students of the European postgraduate master (EMU) in planning and design support tools.

  • 2010- ongoing: Editorial Assistant of Planning Practice &Research (PP&R)-PP&R is published by Routledge and has established itself as the source for information on current research in planning practice over the last 25 years.
  • 2009 - 2010 Researcher - Chair of Spatial Planning and Strategy- Department of Urbanism at TU Delft, NL Member of the TU Delft Research team for the EU Framework 7 project RUFUS.  RUFUS deals with the implication and (non)integration of the EU common agricultural policy with other policy fields, concerning rural development.
